Once the world’s largest producer of cocoa São Tomé and Príncipe, they are finally living up to their name: the chocolate islands. We invite you to be part of this tasty revival. Portuguese colonialists introduced cocoa to São Tomé, a tropical island of West Africa in the 1850s, thirty years after they had successfully cultivated Brazilian cocoa in the neighboring island Príncipe.

The flavor we have chosen to go with São Tomé beans is a Nordic one—spruce sprouts. The sprouts have been picked from organic fields during springtime in Saaremaa.
