Madagascar chocolate with birch sap caramel is our first ‘bean to bar’ chocolate. The beans come from the green island of Madagascar, from the Åkesson organic plantation. The plantation owner Bertil Åkesson proudly carries on his father’s cocoa legacy and produces the best quality beans. The plantation is situated in the lush Sambriano valley, taking up 2,000 hectares along with its pepper and coffee plantation.
We added some Nordic flavour to the chocolate—birch sap caramel. The sap is freshly collected from untouched woodland in Western Estonia and concentrated with the help of the latest evaporation technology.
