Description

No. 13 São Tomé 80%, organic dark chocolate with notes of black pepper. This chocolate was created for our chocolatier, who broke her leg on Friday the 13th! You may think of it as a talisman to overcome prejudices or as a spicy relief for when things go wrong.

Portuguese colonialists introduced cocoa to São Tomé, a tropical island of West Africa in the 1850s, thirty years after they had successfully cultivated Brazilian cocoa in the neighboring island Príncipe.
